Collective Subject Policy Change

(1/13) > >>

TeraS:
The Collective is changing it's subject matter policy!

After due consideration by the Collective Admins and Mods, we are changing the Collective's focus to open up the Collective to all and any subject matter. Female, Male, Transgender subjects are now acceptable to be posted.

This change is effective March 28th, 2014.

There is, however, a short list of items that are not allowed. The still banned subject matter are as follows:

* Underaged Content - Any persons or characters that are under 18 years of age are not acceptable. This includes anime characters as well. If you do not know the character's age, then don't post the image please! Also, any actresses who have "just turned 18" will be removed. Just because they are 18 now does not mean the image you are using is. Wait until they are at least 21 years of age before using them as source material. In short, if they look to be under 18 then don't post the image here.
* Private Images - Any images posted of a personal nature, such as reported self images or those of others, which cannot be proven to the Admin to be posted with the permission of the person in the image will be removed. Proof will be provided in a means that the Admin will communicate to the image poster. If the image can be widely found on the internet, then it is fair game. If it cannot, then the image will be removed. Amateur porn site images are acceptable as they are not private images.
* Sailor Moon and Disney Princesses - The entire series and characters are banned from the Collective. Cosplayers over 18 years of age can be posted, but any drawn images from the series are not acceptable.
* Hate and Similar Themes - Themes such as racial hate, bestiality, death and other obviously unacceptable themes will be removed at the discretion of the Admin. Extremely distasteful subject matter, for example scat or similar themes, will be removed should it appear. As well, images which are reported to the Admin which are unacceptable will be removed.
* Reposting Deleted Images: If a User deletes their work from the Collective, it is not permissible to repost their work. Images are posted on the Collective, or removed by the User who did so and has the right to do so. No one should assume they have the right to repost anything without permission.
Again, to be clear, Male/Male and Transgender themed works are acceptable.

If you wish to comment, you may do so in this thread.

ok, most of that seems perfectly understandable, but i gotta ask.

what's up with the sailor moon ban? did you get threats of lawsuits or is it personal preference?

TeraS:
The Sailor Moon and Disney bans are because the original drawn characters are underage. As people have posted images from those series without realizing that there is a problem in that they are all, for the most part, under 18, we banned the series a long time ago for the sake of not having to deal with that issue every day at times.

Cosplay is fine if the cosplayer is obviously over 18 however.

As a long time mod I have to say that this is a good move for us and should help us to collect contributions to pay the bills.

Can I take this chance to remind everybody that the new type of content might not be to everybodies liking. Please refrain from flaming or leaving negative comments. All of our images could be considered offensive to anybody.

If everybody uses tags correctly and puts commas in between it will make finding the images you want (and avoiding those you don't want) easier

Thanks

Indeedy. And flaming is pointless anyway, as it will be removed...along with the poster if they persist.
