You might notice there's a new subforum in Picture Post...
Dizzzy has been kind enough to create what can be called a tropes list of manip themes...
The Tutorial Board is used mostly for tips and advice on how to alter or enhance the image of the manip to be what you want, and for manips, image is key.
The board is for shaping the *text* of the manip to be what you want it to be, including ideas for methods and metaphors that make the story of the manip feel hypnotic and sexy. Feel free to ask, or give, advice on creating a richer story, to shape the words into what you'd like them to be. Think of this board in a similar way to the Tutorials board, but for making your words match your images better!

So, as one option, it might be useful for recommending fonts and other things if a member wants something unusual for their work? I've come across some good font download sites and I used a couple of interesting ones for my story, mainly for the non human characters. But if anyone is interested specifically in those fonts, I'd be glad to share info. :)

That would be a good topic to add to the On the Text subforum. Hopefully, a lot of discussions of the textual parts of manips can happen there (including fonts!).
