Title: Collective Posting Rules
Post by: TeraS on October 03, 2013, 05:26:38 PM
There has been questions raised with regards to what is acceptable content on the Collective.
The following subjects are not acceptable and will be removed if posted:

Please use common sense when posting. Thank you.

thanks for posting this. One of the primary reasons I have stopped taking requests was that an overwhelming majority of the images I requested to work with were private images and/or potentially underaged content.

I would mention that in general amateur porn-looking images in general should be avoided for the following reasons:
1: harder to verify age.
2: harder to verify the picture originates from a porn site, or someone's private social media account.

That's true, but the images from porn amateur sites can be traces easily enough. Metadata in the images, logos or other hints can help with that...

Hey, Tera, I think I'm the leading manipper of what you'd classify as Private Images here, and I'll happily conform with however you want to handle past postings.  I know you've confirmed Sam (Paperweight), Faustus was pretty thoroughly vetted back in the day and Jenny was the ultimate member/porn site hybrid, but would you like me to remove or have you review the other "member" pics I've posted over the years?

You can PM me or post your response here, either is OK.

Thanks!

Past is past Doc... Don't concern yourself with that... I'm not going to go back over what has been posted in the past...

I know how you go about your works and there isn't a problem with the things you have or will do.

Dun worry...

Glad we're getting some standards here...some of the facebook things were getting out of control...some questions (You may not care about the past but I'll likely take down a couple of pics. Most ironically come from the fully clothed section.

1 With regards to Race and hate...Slurs are obviously a no no, but what about allusions to race class distinctions of the past. I ask this as I have a photoset (I can PM you one image from it) from a porn site which lends itself to a set with some racially charged overtones...it would be along the lines of this past image of mine http://hypnopics-collective.net/cpg132/displayimage.php?pos=-146164 (http://hypnopics-collective.net/cpg132/displayimage.php?pos=-146164) where a black seeking mobility is enslaved based on ummm...past assumption of roles...It would not come without a warning just like the above did which would include a notice that it would be removed without some amount of votes for approval (same as when I post incest)

2. I hope the hate rule doesn't extend to political posts, because...no...that's the line to me. MC and Politics are neighbors fetish wise to me...what is a good MCer without taking over the world.

3. With regards to public vs private...what about places like Model Mayhem or acid cow, where they may be public pictures but of non models (Namely i have a stash of NFL Cheer tryout pics which im not sure would be considered private, they're from the press, but they're not of professionals. At least not yet.) I guess what im asking is are we now going to strictly porn sites and professional photos?

4. Ditto if not double for nightclub pictures. Will that count as public or private? (Obviously im talking about images taken by the nightclub and otherwise posted on accounts not staged porn sex parties done by all known porn outlets ;))

The short form of 3 and 4 is, is google fair game or is google now only good for celebs known public figures.

Google is fair game. If it's on a google search, then it isn't private. If it is on a site like Model Mayham it's fine. I'm talking about a request like "Here's an image of my ex! Use her!" That's not going to be allowed.

Political posts are fine.

The things you mention are fine as well...

Question about futa female with penis
is it the same to think that if a image is found or created with or without balls is it a she male just the same and does it fall in the no posting rules category ?

There has been a small number of futa images, checking the Gallery there are only 7 that I could find. It would fall under the "allowable, but if any of the other rules are broken it will be deleted" statement...

Tera,

Thanks for the update on all of this. I know personally there are certain pics I won't touch, especially underage or could look like they were underage. It reminds me of what I said / thought while living in a university town for some years where some of the female high school students were already getting ready for college sorority life -- "Some of these girls, you can't tell at first glance if they're 15, 25 or 35!" (And that's not even including the consequences of "the Law Of Dad"!) I.E., when in doubt, stay away!

On a separate note, I had one of my own works here pulled some years ago. I had used what I thought was a popular and well-distributed (and thus available) picture of a kneeling woman as one of the elements. Yet it turned out that the lady who owned / initially posted the picture had never meant for it to spread the way it did, and made a protest upon finding out her pic was being used by me. I removed the image post-haste. One of my best pics back then, unfortunately -- but we all need to abide by the rules.

I mean what are the odds of her ever seeing it. I can only assume you must have run over a Chinaman.

Whatever the odds were, Goose, it happened. Crazy, I know. Maybe now I'll get my 19 lightning strikes and win the lottery!  :)

I remember that event and as well another one where we were issued a request from an image owner to remove it from our site. I would rather that we do so than have a huge issue later...

But over the existence of the Collective... Twice isn't that bad really....

Hey dudes/dudettes.
Whenever I go on to the gallery section it reads "You are temporarily banned from using this site."
I have never knowingly broken any rules regarding posting or general conduct. My username is Hypnogoal. Clarification as to why I am banned/How long I will be banned for would be greatly appreciated.

Did you register on the gallery as well as here? You need to do that to access it.

Just an FYI This is becoming an issue in the US, Revenge Porn and the leaking of sexting photos and other images thought to be private into the public domain is becoming an issue and while still Legal to post anywhere except California (because they are protecting their own) and New Jersey (where privacy laws are extremely strict because of the Tyler Clementi case) There is a push in the state houses to make these photos reclaimable by copyright laws. This will be challenged but I'd become UBER careful with Facebook photos and selfies even if they end up on Google or a posting site like Acid Cow etc. Myself have deleted over 250 photos (almost all from Acidcow) out of questioning how they ended up on there in the first place.

Likely being over cautious but I would expect a change in the law soon that may warrant this. Revenge Porn suits are starting to pile up...

This is one reason I haven't posted in a while...(Not the main one, had some serious internet connection issues) So now Basically if it didn't come from a Newspaper, is a Known Public Figure (Something I don't like doing), Model Mayhem, or a Free Distribution of a Pay Porn Site...I'm not going to post it.

I am not going to pull images but may do so in the future if the privacy laws change. Just a heads up...I think the Public/Private line is going to get much messier by this time next year.

Hi mods, this post seemed to be the best way to address several of you at once.

I had some images removed. I understand and expected this to happen. Is there any way to get notification of which images were removed? I know this sounds silly, but I am having a hard time determining which were taken down. I want to avoid reposting, and of course, identify the offending nature of those images to keep out of future posts. I've read the above guidelines at length, but since I seem to toe many of them, I don't want to irritate you.

Thanks in advance for your reply,

Cliff

Ok, the questions still stands for future reference, but I was able to determine which posts were removed and speculate why in all but one case.

There's been no discussion amongst the mods about deleting any of your pictures; but if you broke any of the rules you can expect a picture to be removed without any warning

There were 5 removed, I believe. 1 I took down myself after realizing it didnt fit the criteria, it was male MC. 3 were probably justified, they didn't have enough MC elements. The 5th was clearly female MC, but was very... strongly worded.

Again, I don't protest the takedown, just want to make sure I know why.

Hello!

Is it allowed to post in the gallery photomanipulations without any caption or story, just with themes that often appear in MC stories and might suggest its presence? Like woman turned into robots/gynoids or even statues, magic spells, blank eyes, etc...
Title: Re: Collective Posting Rules
Post by: TeraS on March 15, 2015, 03:12:17 AM
Hello!

The main thing is that the images are manipulated in some way, shape or form. Story need not be there or text or anything. The images have to have something done to them to change them from the original and have some kind of MC theme, whatever it may be...

What you are suggesting is perfectly fine...

Good Day,

Are their any rules specifically relating to the use of AI generated images that one should be aware of before posting?
Title: Re: Collective Posting Rules
Post by: TeraS on February 18, 2023, 01:42:02 AM
This hasn't come up as a question until now actually...

We have fakes being posted, manips and similar, but I am not aware of any AI images at this point (though if I'm mistaken, please let me know)...

I'm not against the use of AI specifically, though I would ask that if AI art is posted that it be tagged as such please...

Consider this an experiment and let's see what the Collective's response to the AI art is...

Hey Tera, I've been posting some AI based stories and manips, hopefully nothing worrying and all tagged with AI in the title.

I have no issues with anyone posting AI art and manips and so on...

At this point I have had no complaints noted about this happening. therefore, so far as I am concerned, it's a non-issue as a whole...

But if there are other opinions, please do let me know...
