As previously reported, the "Download" button now returns an empty 0kb file. I can get the image with an innacurate name by using "Save Image as...", or with Bulk Image Downloader program I bought.
I currently use the "Download" button to save the 0kb file as a 'placeholder' (with the RIGHT name), then right-click on the image, select "Save image as..." navigate to the placeholder, hit enter, confirm overwrite, click yes, and done.
But neither are ideal and I don't understand why the "Download" button is no longer serving its purpose, has the coding been changed/become corrupted or has the nature of file handling altered?
I am not a website builder but I am curious this may set an annoying precedent for other sites, just as the hated Google 'new and improved' .webp and .webm forms have RUINED many's surfing enjoyment!
(Yes, argues Google, it's a standards conversion affecting only the container but it's incompatible (no backwards compatibility, so lazy and useless) with most image viewers!)
My current (only working for my archive) method is 3 steps and arduous, making everything a slog and time consuming. It's fair to say my enjoyment of the site is hugely reduced, as it must be for everyone.
Do we have a coder out there that can at least explain why we are experiencing this?
