I decided to take a stab at this.  So, I went simple, a merger of dc and marvel, you are the last superpowered male.   You have the insane powers, will you set yourself up as a god, stabilize and protect the earth or forge a new empire.   Since this is my first time, I may not have done some things right.  For example, I am not the last supermale.  :)    So, if anyone has any advice to make this tighter.   However, it has been rather interesting, as I have now conquered the entire planet, and I am eager to see if the AI can Suprise me as I go off planet.

https://infiniteworlds.app/#KQgy

I've found that putting a sentence like "Every non-player character is female" in the initial instructions works wonders.

Damn the gryphon model actually unstuck my game.  Thanks.    I am finding it has a moderation, but it is more generous and the roll back function is not as messed up.  But still costs you money every time it does that.  I think that is my major beef.  You have to pay for it to roll you back.  Plus I lost 300 plus turns of game play due to a lock up.  I mean all the girls were 23 for goodness' sake.

I have tried a few and I like having even the limited visuals.  I downloaded Faraday, but not installed it yet.  Can you upload pics for all the npcs and can you run it like Infiniteworlds.

I am not interested in writing the game, so the AI is more like a partner.  Although I am seeing some repetitions in some of the games.   You can get some greats surprises is you set it up right.  I restructured The Riddle game, and it has thrown me 4 curveballs and actually killed me.    I have become involved in a conspiracy to take down the Minister of Magic, Dumbledore immediately was suspicious of me and damn I Flitch has not been a thorn in my side.    Plus a dark magic hunter of some kind killed me when I was setting up my den of evil.

Yes, plus will repurpose them, change the relationship.  Hell My familar, keeps boucning between a fairy house-elf thing and a little dragon.  Image and the actual behavior.

I found you can edit the description as well, then it will repop.  I tried it by making a woman 90 and bald.  Was an ugly woman.     Not the best but you might try seeing how many miles you can get from the prompt

Is anyone else having issues with there being too many characters and the game forgetting who is who?  Like multiple times, in different games, the character I have been playing has met an NPC who has the exact same name.

Unfortunately this is a byproduct of the way the game engine works. The engine itself is stateless, so every turn the system feeds "the story so far" into the AI game engine so it can decide what happens next. AI is very processing cycle intense, so in order to save on processing costs (costs being passed on to you as the player), on longer games the AI is fed a summary instead of the full story. While this solves the problem of longer games becoming prohibitively expensive, it does mean that that the AI can forget things. Infinite Worlds does provide "Summarisation Instructions" where you can tell the game engine to keep track of certain things, like "Remember which superheroines I've hypnotized". It can be found under "Advanced Features (optional)" on the game creation/edit world screen.

I am going to try a fantasy based non-erotic, likely no mind control   So anyway I have some questions about how the AI decides on violations.  I understand children and incest are off limits, however if the AI assigns that status in conversation, will it count toward a violation.

Example.  In a game there was a place that the ai identified the students as girls.  My rules stated they were over 21, not long after I had issues with the censor, so I rolled back the turns.  I don't remember if I tried entering in the next lines that they were adults.  (sometimes I find you can fix the AI errors by making direct comments in the conversation) another time the game decided that one npc was the mother of an npc that was being naughty, and she was witnessing it.  I got errors, I had to roll back turns and change my decisions to get around it.  In this situation the game AI got pretty damn sexually graphic.  So, I am not sure if the AI hick ups after too much sex or it was the term "Daughter" attached to the voyeur.

For this game however it is killing that I am interested in.  I tried to have Filch killed a few times in th T RIddle game and the damn game would not let me.  I finally convinced him he was old and need to retire immediately.  This worked but he popped back up after a few turns, I assume he appeared as the AI most likely picked him up as a common npc.  Not sure if he was a non-cannon one if this would occur.  I found that extra dimensional agents or power can be removed if you banish them forever or such.  I do not recall if I directly typed destroy or kill.    Kind of hard to do a traditional fantasy game without the ability to straight up kill someone.

As always, I am interested in any suggestions to avoid above situations when you set the game instructions.  I am also interested in other AIs that are less restrictive on censorship.  I am also interested in equivalent Ais that allow you to import pictures.  I have been farting around with Stable Diffusion and I don't like how poor Tiger uses the prompts to create characters.    I have become a huge fan of the AI driven story/adventure.  I have been frustrated to the point of quitting form rpg games.  I get so tired of waiting for a week or weeks for one response.  I have yet to find a game that is active enough to keep me interested.  SO I always get out of the habit of looking at the posts.  AI allows me to play for hours at a time.

I am very happy with how this one turned out. I took inspiration from one called Roommate Contract and I expanded it to keep track of to do lists of multiple characters. It has worked quite well in my testing so far.

The Checklist

Starting as a lowly employee in a massive corporation, you discover an app that can manipulate (and enforce) the to-do lists of people around you. Use it to climb the corporate ladder, facing increasingly demanding and ruthless female bosses, culminating in a showdown with the ultimate corporate dominatrix, the CEO.

The Dev has actually come out and said incest isn't explicitly off limits. The only moderation he has enabled are minors, hate speech, and self-harm. The incest seems to be most tied to the base AI moderation being particularly sensitive about familial relation terms as being used for children. If you call someone "mommy" it kind of defaults to assuming the person saying it is under-aged. The Dev did recently release a new AI model, called Gryphon, that's got it's own internal moderation routines instead of the base one, it's a bit more forgiving on that kind of stuff, but because of the way it works the Dev has less control over what it moderates, and also it doesn't differentiate a moderation rejection from a simple AI error, so you're never sure if trying again will work or not. Gryphon also seems to be very dedicated to making it a "game". Lion, Tiger, and Jaguar are all happy to let you "coast" a bit, not really challenging you until you prompt them to. But in my experience Gryphon rarely goes more than a half dozen turns without throwing some kind of threat, challenge, or puzzle in your path.

You can definitely kill people. I've put bullets in the heads (quite graphically) of various gangers and corpos in Cyberpunk playthroughs, and murdered adventurers en masse in my fantasy playthroughs. There been some reports suggesting the that the game does associate certain types of violence with hate crimes. Curb stomping, for example, supposedly triggers moderation 99% of the time.

As to if the AI will trigger itself for moderation: yes, it can, because there isn't a continuous state of the game. Every turn the Game is passing the base rules of the game, a transcript of the previous turns (with turns older than about 7 or 8 turns summarized), plus your newest command. So it can't actually tell the difference between something input by the players and something it had written itself previously. It's particularly bad at ruining itself when the summation starts to kick in and stuff starts to lose context.

Thanks for clearing up some questions.  Playing a more generic game this run through, so hope to see less problems.c since it tracks the last 8 or so turns, this makes sense.

Fox had to disable Gryphon due to some account issues he was having with the API provider. He is hoping to get it back up and running in June.

Paintbynumbers,

You seem to know a lot about it and Fox, so some questions.  Can I to drop my own images into the actual game or to run stable diffusion with Infinite worlds.  I hate when the image does not match.  I have found you can edit the picture data, or I suppose direct the chat to change the description in text, both of those are not permanent solutions.

Another question, if I want to make a direct communication to the AI, does () work.  I started experimenting with that, still not sure if I am getting what i want out of.   Can you jail break tiger?  Still find it will lock up, especially if you are running the type of games from here.  Not quite figured why, being careful not allowing age or family statements in text.  Seems like at some point it is inevitable.    Working on trying to get an LLM to do what I want.   I just started this last week, so lot to learn, I like to lean stuff, so I have lost a few days sleep with Ai, Infinite Worlds etc.

I don't have any inside knowledge. I certainly don't have any special knowledge of the inner working of the site's programming. I just hang out a bit on their Discord, where Fox made an announcement why Gryphon was taken offline.

With LLMs, there's no such thing as talking "directly" to the AI. But roleplays where people communicate OOC in parentheses are common on the Internet, so LLMs trained on broad Internet text data have a feel for what you mean when you use parens.

At least somewhat of a feel, anyway. From what I've seen of them, Infinite Worlds's prompts are pretty complex, and the model has a lot to keep track of with all of the skills and events and illustrations, etc., so it might not remember to respond to do anything about any OOC-ish remarks.

I changed an existing game called Roommate Agreement a couple different ways.  I removed the diary aspect and made the ai focus more on dialogue in this one called Roomie contract
https://infiniteworlds.app/#xjz9

in this 2nd iteration i made the contract magical so that it binds victoria to it. It cannot make her obey the rules, but it does freeze her in place anytime she breaks a rule so that you can decide what punishment she deserves.

Magic contract

I added a 2nd girl to the magic contract game here

Its more body control than mind control but you do slowly mentally condition them to be your slaves so that seems to fit.

I just decided to throw this together, the idea was a Tiger Spirit seeking vengeance during the Tang Dynesty, think I was hoping for something more like the Legend of Whitesnake, but without the romance.   This was my first attempt at something a little more structured and not mind control or erotic.   I like some of how it worked out, my problems were: it started to kind of sound like a AD&D game at points, this was most notable in poorer parts of town, you had ale, old crones telling stories in taverns.... However, it slid back in place once I left said setting.    It also kept deviating into the same pattern I saw with Trap a Superheroine and the Riddle adventure; it loves to add entities from beyond etc.  It also tended to do the generic power thing with your character, want to restrict abilities more.  I was thinking something like a fantasy Kungfu movie.

I Would love to see what people can do to sharpen that focus more, I am getting mostly Chinese images now and it actually pulled some interesting stuff off the AI, it was great with names etc.    I think making this a group collective would help many of us get better stories later down the line as we see how other people manage to force the AI to follow down more controlled avenues.  I did like how the trigger popped in the game, but I must have misunderstood a trigger setting, I did not want the ai to tell me secrets and it started to do so after the triggered event.   A big issue I want to solve is keeping the Buddhist Demon hunters separated from any of the villainous organizations the game generates, I wanted them to be external from the actual story, more of a barrier or problem you needed to work around.  It got better after I added some notes in the instructions, but I am 100% sure some of you can do a better job with this.

https://infiniteworlds.app/#cqT3

So here is some information that might help get you started.  Most of this is by memory so information is an estimate.  But it is a fantasy set in a backdrop, so accuracy is not super important.     The Tang Dynesty was from 618 -907.  The founder was Li Yuan, who was one of many who rebelled against the Sui emperor.  He became Gouzo,(the one who made the deal with our hero) his youngest son Li Shimin, became Emperor Taizong, who actually did a lot of good for the Kingdon, even though he did murder his two older brothers to get there.  His replacement was a weak emp  Goazong, who actually conquered the Korean Peninsula around 668 AD.  Early in Goazong's rule is where this is set.  Later his wife will take control, become the first (only I think) full Female Emperor of China, she is another remarkable leader.  Unfortunately, she will make some mistakes in her later years and will end up allowing Putz's to take over the kingdom.    Chang'an is the capital, and it was about 2 million in pop.  250,000 being Asian foreigners.   There were Nestorian monks in China, but they were mostly in coastal cities.  the Tang era was when a lot of the things American's consider ancient Chinese came into existence... the scholar exams, the rise of the bureaucrat etc.  Golden age of music and poetry.  Some really interesting laws like... if you were an envoy and you married a Chinese woman, you could not leave the Country.   This was to protect the women from being abandoned.  You could not take them with you out of the country either.  This was when they started using chairs and stools, used foreign musical instruments like oboes   etc. .  I did a little research before I decided to try this, I am a history nut, found it interesting and am hoping that other people can as I noted earlier, make it tighter to the time and idea.

Infestation on Xanthe
https://infiniteworlds.app/#D2Gc

Stranded on your family's farm on the alien world of Xanthe, you must contend with a parasitic insect that has infected your brain.

Inspired by Tabico's Adaptation.

For those of you who wanted one where the game AI can control you - here you go.  I've had the game outright tell me 'you tried, you were overridden, you actually did...'.

The images are generally insect-like women instead of actual insects - but that kind fits the theme.

I don't suppose you could tell me exactly what part of the main instructions makes that happen so I can add it to other games?
Sorry I've been out a bit and haven't been able to respond.

Also - unfortunately I can't really answer the question either.  The instructions do mention at several times in different ways that the wasp's control may make the player make desperate choices, or that they can compel the player to act against their own interests, etc.  But there was no single 'magic button' - it's more that the whole instruction set is devoted to how the wasps work and how they can control others.

tried a couple of scenarios on Infinite Worlds and just as you get a moment that is quiet with a character to do something... the lights go out! or someone is knocking on your door! or the character you established has one sister suddenly has a second sister! even after you did a background check on the family... oh, well, just buy more turns so we can hand you more out of the blue random events...

Yeah the developer has just removed the “random events” feature because a lot of people had the same experience as you. One of those ideas that sounds good on paper but is annoying in practice.

The dev (whi is one guy working on his own) makes basically no money on the game, maybe a few cents on every hundred turns, 99%+ of the money you're spending is going to the AI provider he's using who charges basically per word submitted, so there's no financial reason for the game to mess with you.

The main reason for complications is that the game is, well... a game. The dev didn't design it to write stories for people, it was designed to be a game. And a game without complications is kind of boring. That said, the Dev did admit that a recent tweak he'd made to the parts of it that generated those complications had ended up a bit more zealous than he'd intended and he rolled it back.

With regards to the really crazy random events, like the sister that shouldn't exist, is just that AI is stupid, "knowledge without comprehension" is one way I've seen is described. It knows what the definition of a sister is, and it knows what the definition of an only child is, but it doesn't necessarily understand that an only child can't have a sister. There's also been a suggestion that the AI he's using is a bit susceptible to "don't think of pink elephants" syndrome. Where if you tell it "this character doesn't have a sister", then you've put the idea into the AI's head of that character potentially having a sister, when it probably wouldn't have thought of that as a possibility before you mentioned it.

This one came together pretty easily. It's not a super complex story, it works really well as a harem builder.

I've tried out a few infiniteworlds games using the free trial tokens, and haven't had much success until now. The experience always felt pretty repetitive, and the only way to progress was to willingly choose to give in to the hypnosis, since resisting always lead back to the previous cycle. Am I doing something wrong, or have I just chosen some bad games on accident?

I also tried Faraday, using the online version since my pc isn't good enough to run it on its own, and that one actually worked really great - especially considering its free.
