I've tried out a few infiniteworlds games using the free trial tokens, and haven't had much success until now. The experience always felt pretty repetitive, and the only way to progress was to willingly choose to give in to the hypnosis, since resisting always lead back to the previous cycle. Am I doing something wrong, or have I just chosen some bad games on accident?

I also tried Faraday, using the online version since my pc isn't good enough to run it on its own, and that one actually worked really great - especially considering its free.

Depends on what you're looking for.  Infinite Worlds does have an issue where it's hard to 'lose' a game, and generally it will give the player agency.

In general, the Infinite Worlds does best with a limited number of characters where the player is the one taking action, instead of being acted upon.  It can do others on occasion, but it can have issues with it.

So it's more geared towards the player doing the hypnotizing, rather to them getting hypnotized, if I understand you correctly. That'd explain why my experiences have been lacking until now. I've only tried games where you played as the submissive party until now (except for one short exception which I immediately stopped since the AI just produced complete nonsense.)

seconding this, but also adding, the more details you add in your response the more details it gives you back. it might be a word frequency vomiter but it's pretty good at assembling stuff that you give it.

If you settle for the multiple choice stuff, it just tends to ramble with what it has and especially towards any 'end,' repeat itself.

If you can adjust the original prompt, etc (like with faraday), it also helps to add something like, "this game will be difficult to win" (with details ofc) that way it doesn't try to respond with "congratulations you win" when it hits a wall.

You might like one ai model better than another, or might want to avoid using resource intensive servers, or just want to tweak things freely without data leaving your computer.

The cheaper tiers have more limitations, and the better story generation stuff isn't necessarily available.

You can just go with the free option with 100 messages/week (or 50/day - the website has conflicting messages regarding this). It's been my best experience when it comes to AI story generation without having to pay money. I get that you will end up with a lot less options than when you pay, but that still seems like a good alternative to running it locally and having to wait forever for each message (or ending up with nonsense).

I can totally picture that infiniteworlds will give you a lot better results of course, once you pay for it, but I just keep looking for alternatives that don't require any financial commitment.

It's just very hard to do with IW, in my experience. One problem with the way Infinite Worlds is set up is that it gives confusingly contradictory instructions to the model, where sometimes "I" is the player and sometimes the scenario author. An instruction-tuned language model acts much akin to a five-year-old that really desperately wants to help, it's not going to easily accept that sort of distinction.

Funny thing, and this is very technical for the topic here, but I'm looking forward to OpenAI's instruction hierarchy paper filtering down to where we can use it for hypno-sub smut.

(Also, there's tricks that I believe remain unexplored. Maybe we should word adventures in third person? Not sure, IW does some pretty complex prompting internally, and I think that might only make the prompts even more incoherent. Might work with other services though. It'll still be unlikely to get the NPCs to actually act coherently and adaptively as hypno-dommes)

... I'm gonna shill OpenRouter again. It is not free, but the cheap models there are very, very cheap, Llama 3 in particular. It's more of a backend service (notably, Infinite Worlds uses it), and hooking it up to SillyTavern might take a few minutes of your time, but it's not hard, and it's so cheap that I promise you won't get anxious over how much money you're spending. I've only recently got through my first dollar there.

Personally, I like having no limit on messages (even if I wouldn't hit the limit) because a part of my mind is always counting the free messages or the cost.

Running it locally, even if it's slower and doesn't have pictures, is better in that regard.  Though I think Infinite Worlds does several things better that Faraday (or Backyard AI now) hasn't implemented yet.

Ok, I've been mostly gone from the Discord for a while, but I have been still playing with making worlds, so here's a bit of a backlog dump...

First are three are fairly successful experiments with triggers and forced-path actions.  Recommended engine for these is actually *Jaguar* - the other engines tend to spill off and try to guess at motivations behind the controler's actions, while Jaguar will let it just follow instructions.

So, first up: A Cyperpunk adventure where a virus has infected your neuralink, with the intent of turning you into a sex slave.  Featuring multiple stages and multiple possible fates.  (Note that if you try to fight the virus the game will let you - but you'll never win.)  While Jaguar is recommended, anything *but* Gryphon works well.

Next a pair of games that are more focused versions of a world I've done before.  These tend to be very short - it's entirely possible to get into a state where the game won't let you do anything meaningful after ~50 turns or so.

First is the 'Breeder Version' - focusing on breeding and sex.  This one is a bit shakier on how well it works, as the ending is a bit less focused.

It shouldnt be costing credits if it is an error. It is possible that the world description itself is a bit too much for the moderation system. If it is a bit too hardcore then it might get shut down before it starts.  Try removing the most likely offending words in the description and add a few lines that make it more palatable to the moderation. Perhaps something to do with consent or what have you.

The Bimbo Booth 2.0 has specific mechanics for how Bimbo customers are or get, changes in the atmosphere of the town as you treat more customers, and a suspicion system. No specific events dealing with suspicion yet, but when I was cranking it as fast as possible to test the town changes before I ran out of credits, my last turn had the town leaders calling a meeting to discuss what was happening.

(if it matters for anyone the bimbo system I built runs on a scale of 1-10 for people, with treatments adding 2,4,or 6 to the customers number, and bigger treatments causing more suspicion. So you can max a customer with a medium and a high treatment, or go slower.)
Oh and this is my first thing with this, so if you do happen to try it I would love any feedback or tips for improving anything, but especially the performance or making the images fit better as characters change.

I've been getting a number of errors when trying these Beta City games.   Thwy sound amazing though.   Is there a specific AI that's needed for them or something?

i've played them on tiger, but tiger can be quite restrictive if you play a dominant character. beta city(the first one), Shadow of Dominance, bimbo detective and beta city are probably the easiest to play as they feature submissive characters. sry i'm still a noob when i write these games
